Two Comic Updates

I'm just popping in to note that there are two great comics which just issued rare updates, and you should know about both of them.

The first is Moe, a comic I love that has not managed to break into the realm of superpopular webcomics, but it is still great! The newest comic just came out, and it's the first update we've had since August (and that, in turn, was the first update since May). Anyway, go, enjoy it, tell the author how much you love it, read the archives if you haven't yet, etc. Or you can read an interview with the author I did on that website I used to run.

The other comic to do much the same is Achewood, which is in fact extremely popular, but had apparently become too much for its author to keep up with, which is why he didn't post any new comics for nearly nine months. But now he has! Is it a sign of things to come? Goodness I hope so. I hope he can at least finish this story. He wouldn't start a story and not finish it, right? RIGHT?

    I thought almost all online comics were shit but we focus on xkcd because it is the most self-congratulatory and gets the most undeserved amount of attention.

    mostofeverythingsucks.blogspot.com would just take up too much time and Rob already invests a heavy proportion of himself on this site.

    12:02/03, that sounds like "WE'RE KINDA LIKE A GANG UNITED BY OUR FOLLOWING OF THIS STRIP AND THE HUMOROUS THEMES DEVELOPED THEREIN" which is one step away from "THE JOKE IS FUNNY YOU JUST HAVE TO READ THE 50 PAGE EXPLANATION" which is gay.

    Assuming an intelligent audience, meaninglessness (or "quirkiness") out of context betrays an author lacking in technical skill. I can pick up any good creative work from a scientific paper in my field to a piece of classical fiction and gain some appreciation from a randomly selected paragraph or illustration. There is no part lacking in substance - hard as it may be to discern - and there is no part lacking in style.

    In conclusion, niggers amirite?

    I have never understood your fascination with achewood, carl. I read about 300 comics and... I still wasn't enjoying it more than the occasional "okay, heh". I don't really think the "point of appreciation" should be higher than 300 comics, if it exists and you are not in fact delusional. =\

    But then again, I don't own two websites about webcomicking, so what do I know (nothing, that is what).

    also i'm pretty sure anon411 is like 8 y.o., so he knows even less than me (I think I could convince you I am at least 16 maybe?)

    In all seriousness, I welcome a little positivity. So Carl, thanks for posting. Let's all give a shout-out to our favourite comics.

    My favourites? Gunnerkrigg Court, The Meek and Dr McNinja are all up there. But personally I can't give enough praise to Everblue for it's lovable characters, beautiful artwork and the start of a great storyline. I think more people should know about it.
